Driving Speed is a race car simulation game that lets you get a taste of what it is like to be a professional race car driver. It is easy to use and has realistic graphics.
You start the game by choosing your make, model, and color of racing car. You can note acceleration and speed capabilities. There are two race tracks to choose from, and you can even choose your opponents. Not only can you race against the computer, but you can compete against up to eight persons in the multi-player mode. Keep track of your racing times and compare with others. Be careful not to drift off the roadway or to bump into other cars, or you will lose precious time! You can watch the side view race track map to be aware of upcoming curves and nearby cars.
With a muscle car of your choosing, you can muscle your way to the front of the pack. It may take some practice, so don't be discouraged if you can't get the hang of it immediately.
You can see realistic buildings, fans, terrain, and more pass you by as you whiz down the road. Use forward and reverse, and left and right buttons to maneuver. Manage curves by a judicious use of forward power along with the appropriate sideways button. It can be a little tricky to keep your car going on the right course, but with a little experience, you will be racing like a pro!
This game is a great introduction to race car games, but admittedly it is more for the beginner, not so much the experienced gamer. It only has two tracks, but they are rather realistic-looking and impressively designed.
The thrill of the chase is hard to explain, but when it is in your blood, you need it like air! So develop some racing skills with Driving Speed, a racing simulator.
