Island Wars 2 is a sequel to the popular action game Island Wars. In it, two tropical islands try to blast each others palm tree with a variety of crazy and explosive weapons. There are a lot of games that follow this formula, and the most important piece of the puzzle is to have exciting weapons and easy to learn but hard to master shooting mechanics. Island Wars 2 does achieve both of these in some degree, but there could be some more work done in both categories. Also, the idea of having an island limits some of the fun of these types of games, where you can have different landscapes and blast through them with powerful weapons. The graphics and sound effects of Island Wars 2 are suitable but not overly impressive. Island Wars 2 is a perfectly decent game, it has just been done better elsewhere. Island Wars 2 has a demo, so it doesn't hurt to try it out.
