Monopoly Int, shorthand for Monopoly International, is a computer game that recreates the classic Parker Brothers board game using a redesigned board with an international flair. Rather than purchase locations like Boardwalk and Park Place, players buy USA, UK, France, Germany and so forth. What’s important to note about Monopoly Int is that it is not an officially licensed Monopoly game. Instead, it emulates classic Monopoly as much as possible without stepping over legal boundaries.
Monopoly Int fully supports all rules, including optional and house rules, and it supports the full range of players locally, on LAN and online. The game is also extremely fast. A big reason for that quickness is that Monopoly Int does not use any premade images or 3D graphics. It simply draws everything in 2D real-time. This approach has some drawbacks, such as its outdated look. On the upside, the game is highly readable and playable.
