Mystery Island II is an game where you take control of a Navy Seal, lost at sea. You wash up on an island and discover aliens planning a takeover. Of course, you must stop them before they succeed.
Mystery Island II plays like an old graphic adventure, where you see one screen and a time and click a direction to go to a new screen. On each screen you can interact with objects, solve puzzles, and fight enemies. The gameplay itself is quite decent with a lot of variety. You have the point and click adventure element and then the Navy Seal fights aliens element. The general plot is rather generic and silly but the writing is decent enough. The main complaint is that the graphics and sound are pretty weak, even for an adventure style game. They don't just lack in the budget department, they are really lacking in the style department, too. They lack any flair or inspiration.
Overall the game is entertaining, you just need to be able to ignore the drab graphics and sound. There is a fairly good adventure/action game inside it.
