Overlord is a very unique game that place players in control of (you guessed it) an overlord who spreads evil throughout the land through the use of his many minions. Playing as both The Overlord and his minions, you fight your way against many enemies in order to defeat seven heroes throughout the land. As you work your way through the game, your dilapidated tower slowly fills with loot and new rooms. Moral choices determine just how evil you are, and depending on your actions, you unlock different endings for the game.
Though the story is essentially evil versus good (where you're the evil one, for once), the game is unlike any other out there. You're encouraged to be as evil as possible, and instead of fighting for yourself, you make your minions do all of your work for you. Different types of minions can be used for different tasks, including red minions that control fire and brown minions that act as fighters. If you're looking for a unique gaming experience with RPG, Adventure, Action and Fantasy game elements, Overlord is a great game to check out. It even has a multiplayer component so that you can pit your evil overlord against another player.
