PES 2014 is loaded with an array of improvements to the previous Pro Evolution Soccer games produced by Konami Sports. The all new Fox game engine includes Trueball Tech, which has a variety of subtle but important responsive features. For instance, Trueball Tech allows players to lean precisely when dribbling or fighting for the ball. This technology takes into account each player's weight to determine body shift and position when handling or receiving the ball. The Motion Animation Stability System simulates realistically the collisions and body contact between opposing players on the soccer pitch. Stumbles, falls and aerial moves are simulated based on each player's unique physical attributes and parameters.
The Teamplay technology in PES 2014 makes smart connections between user controlled players and computer controlled teammates. New defensive technology in PES 2014 includes moving the goalkeeper before a free kick is taken by an opponent. Additionally, a responsive and intelligent wall formation also moves according to the free kick taken. The players in PES 2014 have mental attributes such as mood meters that respond to a game's live tempo.
Some realistic effects that are not included in PES 2014 are rain simulation. However, other weather events can influence the condition of the pitch in real time game play. For example, players can expect to slip and slide when running too fast on a snowy or muddy field. An all new Player ID system accurately simulates the signature moves and gestures of professional star players from all over the world.
Stunning 3D graphics in PES 2014 are enhanced by realistic audio effects that include unique chants based on each team involved. The rowdy crowd also moves in a realistic fashion that can create some distractions. The dynamic camera in PES 2014 zooms in on the goal when shots are taken.
