"Pirates of New Horizons" is a colorful adventure game from Exit Strategy Entertainment for the PC, the Mac, the Xbox360, and the PlayStation 3. Players control Annha, a space pirate searching the outer reaches of space for valuable treasure. In her quest for riches, Annha must run, jump, and employ various acrobatic maneuvers to evade angry aliens and deadly robots. Some trickier situations require Annha to utilize an array of nifty gadgets like a grappling hook, a jetpack, and a flintlock gun that shoots around corners. While greed remains her driving motivation, Annha also gets entangled in a matter of far greater importance, namely figuring out why the universe seems to be falling apart at the seams.
With its fast-paced swashbuckling and its cast of quirky characters, "Pirates of New Horizons" goes far beyond the traditional jump-and-run adventure game. And the beautifully rendered 3D environments, complete with vibrant colors and imaginative alien landscapes, make the action come to dazzling life.
