The video gaming industry is constantly growing and changing, looking for new ways to present the games that we love. Prey is no different. It takes gamers into the world of a modern day Cherokee Indian named Tommy, who, until sucked up into an alien world, never really cared for his heritage. PC gamers take the journey alongside the confused and enthralled Tommy as he battles his way through spaceships with weapons that are aliens in themselves. But there is more. Tommys ancestry is somehow involved and players must utilize the powers of the Cherokee Indian to navigate through the science fiction labyrinth.
For most gamers, the gameplay is nothing new. We've seen it before in Halo and pretty much every other first-person shooter. Where it gets interesting is when your character starts flashing back to dessert plans and learning new Cherokee magic. Additionally, Some of your weapons are live aliens. This certainly brings more life to the game (no pun intend) and allows you to really get a feel for the culture of the alien races. All in all, Prey is a solid game that can be enjoyed by both newbies and veterans to the video game world.
