What is Quake III Arena?

Quake III Arena is a first-person shooter where an ancient alien race pits summoned warriors against one another in gothic and sci-fi arenas. You collect weapons and power-ups during matches against other players or offline bots, with modes including free-for-all, team deathmatch, one-on-one tournaments, and capture the flag. The included Team Arena expansion adds team-based modes and arenas.

For you if...

  • +you enjoy fast movement and demanding aiming duels
  • +you want competitive matches and offline bot practice

Not for you if...

  • −you want a story-driven single-player campaign
  • −you prefer slower combat over high-speed arena fights
