Star Trek D-A-C (Deathmatch. Assault. Conquest) is a visually stunning top-down shooter. This PC game, which was also released on Mac, PS3 and Xbox 360, was inspired by the 2009 reboot motion picture simply named Star Trek. It does not follow the story line of the movie, and even the gameplay seems to make it related to the movie by name only.
The player can be on the side of Starfleet or the Romulan Empire. There are five different ships to choose from: bomber, fighter, flagship, missile cruiser, and support frigate. Gameplay is quick paced, and the player has many opportunities to change to a different ship if necessary. There are four different game modes to choose from. Deathmatch consists of 2 teams up to 6 players battling for the most kills. In Assault, the teams attempt to protect or destroy star bases on the map and Conquest is similar to "capture the flag." The game's final mode, Survival, is a single player mode for the player to test his skills on the Enterprise alone.
The game has several stages to choose from as well as various options and power ups. If you like Star Trek, you will probably like this.
