The first time that you play you will notice that the sumo wrestlers look nothing like the ones you see on television. They are robot-like characters made out of block shapes. Although gameplay does not necessarily mimic real life, the game truly makes up for it in entertainment value. On top of that, the animation is splendid. You will notice how the physics in the games are quite realistic. These robot sumo wrestlers stumble about just like the real ones, and often appear off balance, making it seem like you are in some strange drunken brawl.

One negative aspect of this game is that it does not entirely reward experience. Even after months of playing you may still find that your little sister, who has never played, can beat you. A lot of the times the winner is more based on luck rather than skill. This, however, makes it a great and fair game for young children. You don’t have to worry about one child winning too much and the other losing too much.

The goal of the game is quite simple. Achieve five points before your opponent does. How do you do that? Get one point each time you knock the other player on the floor. What’s exciting is that games with friends often come down to one or two points. There is rarely a blowout victory.
