Swat 3 is a realistic shooter where you take the lead of a Swat team for 21 missions against criminals and terrorists holding hostages. This is not a run and gun game, you must plan your assault on the heavily guarded compounds with a map and lead your team on a combined assault if everyone is to survive. Swat 3 is a great deal of fun as the AI for your team and the enemies is excellent. This creates a lot of tension as you try to rescue all the hostages with no casualties. You have a wide variety of equipment and weapons you can take with you on each mission, which gives you a lot of options on the large, open maps. The game had multiplayer added in after release and it is great fun. There's deathmatch but co op is the main attraction. Coordinating strikes with your friends is a blast. The graphics are good considering the age of the game and the sound design is excellent. Overall a great tactical shooter.
