Set in a strange world where common physics apply, Tiny & Big puts you in control of Tiny, a black-hoodie, goggles-wearing techie armed with a ray cutter and a grappling hook. The story behind this puzzle-platformer is to retrieve Tiny’s only remaining heirloom from his beloved grandpa: his white, fine rib underpants, which have been stolen by the even nemesis, Big.
Tiny & Big exudes style. The art is beautiful: the characters and their world have a unique, hand-drawn look reminiscent of Jhonen Vasquez (of Invader Zim fame). The game play is responsive and fun: Tiny can slice through solid objects with his ray cutter (creating debris) and use his grappling hook to drag the pieces around. Sill and imagination are needed to maneuver Tiny from one area of each level to the next. Three-dimensional words pop on the screen as sound effects, giving the game a comic book feel and motif.
Tiny & Big reeled in several Indie Game awards, including Winner of Best Newcomer at DEP in Deusseldorf. If you’re looking for a stylish, zany, physics-based puzzle platformer, look no further than Tiny & Big.
