A.R.E.S. Extinction Agenda is a sidescrolling action game where you take control of the robot ARES and blast other robots in a sci fi environment. ARES plays a lot like Metroid, where you explore environments and unlock upgrades that allow you to explore further. The game has some pretty tight controls and good action. There's a lot of different enemy robots to blast with different weapons, and it keeps the game interesting. It's not extremely challenging but it's not baby's first Metroid. The game is very pretty with great 2d sprites and lots of action going on almost constantly. The sound is excellent and adds to the game without every becoming annoying. The game is a great platformer action game definitely worth a try to anyone who like 2d action action games or the Metroid series.
