If you're a fan of old school NES games, Abobo's Big Adventure is right up your alley. This game casts you as the freakish Abobo from Double Dragon, that big-headed weirdo that looked like Marvel Comic's The Thing, who would bust through a wall and clobber you. Well now you're playing as him.
Every level hits you with new challenges, from the beatemup first stage to top down Zelda style dungeon crawling and a Punch-Out themed final boss. Characters and stages from other games make cameos, too. The whole game is like playing all of your favorite NES games, one after another.
This nostalgic trip is a lot of fun, it's challenging, and all the while you get to stare at beautifully well-recreated 8-bit graphics and hear the chiptune music twinkling in the background. If you love Nintendo, you'll love Abobo's Big Adventure.
