Battlefleet Pacific War is a naval strategy game for Windows-based PCs. Battlefleet Pacific War is an extension of Battleship, the classic guessing game by Milton Bradley. However, Battlefleet Pacific War has evolved considerably over the years, and it only resembles its inspiration in basic ways. In addition to basic play, the game has a free hunt mode, death match mode, missions, scenarios and even entire campaigns.
Battlefleet Pacific War is played out using ships and aircraft, and in addition to sinking ships, the goals are to conquer ports, defend ports and secure transport convoys. Units move, which makes the game quite different from classic Battleship. In addition, players can purchase, repair and upgrade units as the game unfolds. Players can opt to play in classic Battleship mode, or they can custom tailor a game by choosing precisely which aspects they want to support. Battlefleet Pacific War supports single player and multiplayer, locally, online, via LAN and via email.
