Bioshock is a first person shooter from Irrational Games. Unlike most first person shooters nowadays, this is no deathmatch shooter you play online. Bioshock has an intriguing story about an undersea city, Rapture, built to escape the governments on the world. You play as a survivor of a plane crash who comes aboard Rapture and must discover what went wrong and led to the city's empty and failing condition. The game really works hard to build an amazing atmosphere. The graphics are great , not only technically, but also the art design is amazing. Lots of retro, 50's style art. The music and sound is similarly themed and also excellent. The writing is high quality and will take you on intense 7-10 ride. Along the way you are forced to make moral choices, upgrade weapons, and use special powers to survive. The game is exceptional in how it pulls you in and gives you lots of options. You will need a relatively new computer to run it, but Bioshock is not a game to be missed.
