Bus Simulator 2008 not only allows players to practice their skills in driving a bus, it also allows for players to exercise their know-how in running a business successfully and expanding it to become a tycoon in the public transportation business. The combination of the two skills creates a multidimensional game that will give players hours of fun and a lesson in entrepreneurship.
Driving the bus is the first focus of the game and as the player proceeds through the game, the routes become more difficult and treacherous as players prove their metal on their routes. Drive in all four seasons and deal with the summer heat, the autumn wind, the winter snows and the rainy springs and players will also deal with other types of weather such as ice and fog. Drive in both day and night routes as you learn to navigate and master 34 different missions that will have players driving through all aspects of the city including downtown traffic and industrial parks. With 18 bus routes and 8 different models of buses, there is plenty for players to do.
On the business side of things players must find ways to increase ridership so that they may expand their business and become successful. The player is responsible for things such as deciding whether to rent or buy the new buses that are needed to carry more riders and managing the advertising space on the buses. Players can run promotions to increase ridership and change the fare rate to either gain capital or as another means to increase ridership.
Bus Simulator is great way to learn what goes on behind the scenes of a large scale public transportation system. It is also entertaining and engaging to play and will provide hours of enjoyment.
