Growing up watching Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, I was almost moved by the amount of nostalgia I felt for the Dragon Ball Z Budokai X game. The game reenacts memorable scenes from the Dragon Ball Z series. It has all the classic villains from the series, like Majin Buu, Cell, Frieza, and more. It's a pretty simple game, wonderful for a button masher, and it's seriously addictive. I can play it for hours at a time. It has a story mode that really grips you into the game. Like in the series, characters fight with their energy, otherwise known as ki. You can use your ki for different fighting techniques. Ki can be used for things like blocking attacks and inflecting damage on your enemy.

The game is set up in the behind the back camera perspective and in classic fighting style mode. To be honest, the graphics are not that impressive and it doesn't have a lot of characters or moves but I enjoyed it anyways. Some people don't like the cutesy sprit style characters but I liked it. There are quite a few 3D scenarios so it's not totally 2D. The bad graphics reminded my of old school 8-bit games, which just added to the nostalgia.
