Dungeon Fighter is an unusual massively multiplayer online (MMO) game that features 2D, side-scrolling graphics in place of the 3D world more typical of a MMO. Choose one of six classes, join up with other players, and delve into a monster-filled dungeon in search of experience and treasure.
If you're familiar with old beat-em-up games like Double Dragon and Golden Axe, you know how Dungeon Fighter plays. Players walk from one side of the screen to another, and monsters spawn in your way for you to eliminate using a variety of attacks and skills. Each dungeon has an end boss for your party to battle against, and plenty of loot to fill your backpacks. Return to town after the dungeon to restock your gear and prepare for the next dungeon expedition.
As you gain experience, you can branch off into more advanced classes, gaining new and more powerful attacks. There's also a player-versus-player (PVP) arena where you can face off against other players singly or in teams.
Dungeon Fighter is free to play, but does include a cash shop where you can purchase special items to increase your character's power or change his or her appearance.
