《残秽的我们》是一款本土手绘写实风格的恐怖冒险游戏，以真实事件为蓝本改编。在游戏中，玩家将跟随女主“无者”的脚步，深入由亡者怨念而产生的“怨秽地”，利用“刻印”的力量，探究隐藏其中的一段真实往事。人如果带着强烈的怨念死去，便会在其身亡之处，产生名为“怨秽地”的空间。亡者会化为虚无的灵魂，忘却生前种种，盲目徘徊于其中，无法转生。生者若误入此处，便会在具象污秽的折磨下痛苦死去，其灵魂将成为滋养“怨秽地”的养料。随着养料的增多，“怨秽地”也会一同扩大，以便吞噬更多的灵魂。唯有“无者”，可除污秽。游戏以纯手绘写实风格，还原了一段跨度长达数十年的真实往事。恐怖并不局限于外在的表现，深入内心的幽邃，会让你不寒而栗。游戏中的每一个角色，都曾经鲜活的存在于这个世界上。也许你也能从中找到熟悉的影子。不仅仅是贴合剧情的解密。“怨秽地”中还潜伏着更恐怖的东西。游戏一共包含四个章节，每章都是一个完整的故事，全部取材于真实事件，独立却又有关联。同时，“无者”又从何而来？这一切也在等你找寻答案。本次发布为游戏的第一章。
