Grand Theft Auto Volume 2 is a video game that simulates carjacking. Some of the activities that players complete in the game include jacking cars, obviously, running from the police and completing jobs for gangs. Players can also run into innocents along the street and kill them.

The objective of the game is that the player is a budding young criminal who is trying to make a name for himself in a world that is filled with drugs, violence and turf-war. The game features three levels, and each of the levels are populated with different gangs that run different sections of the city.

Players accept odd jobs from the gangs by answering pay phones, but, of course, the gangs will only assign work to the players if they respect them. The way that players gain respect from gangs is by driving onto another gang’s turf and killing as many members of the rival gang as possible on their own turf.

Some of the types of tasks that players can expect to complete for gangs include blowing up buildings, picking up deliveries, assisting bank robbers and so on. There are a variety of weapons that can be found throughout the game. The game isn’t purely about completing gang missions, though. Players can simply freestyle on the streets as well and run from the police.

The soundtrack on the Grand Theft Auto Volume 2 follows the same theme as the one found in Volume 1. However, the graphics are a bit better. The camera doesn’t seem to jerk as much, and there is more use made of colored lighting. Up to six players can compete on multi-player maps. In multiplayer maps, players can play tag or play to a certain number of kills. Overall, the game keeps in theme with the Grand Theft Auto series with a few improvements.
