Hyperspace Invader is a forward scrolling shooter game set in space. It uses 3d models to provide a unique looking old school shooter. The gameplay is the usual shooter style, with enemies entering the screen and firing at you, while you dodge and fire back. There's bosses and obstacles to deal with too. Hyperspace Invader keeps it fresh by adding lots of powerups that can change the game, and by allowing co op. The powerups really boost your ship and help keep the game interesting. Co op is a lot of fun and can really extend the life of the game. Hyperspace Invader has 30 levels which should take some time to master, so there is a good amount of game here. The graphics are nice, with polished 3d models and interesting and varied environments. The sound is kind of generic, it doesn't add anything to the game or do anything interesting. Hyperspace Invader is a pretty good shooter, it definitely should be on your list if you are a fan of the "shmup" genre.
