Jalopy is a driving simulation game with a highly unique style that makes it truly stand out in its genre. While many other driving games put you behind the wheel of an exotic sports car that most people can only dream of owning, this game does the exact opposite. The car you'll be driving is the fictional Laika 601 Deluxe, modeled after the famous East German Trabant, a vehicle often joked about in the West as being everything that a car shouldn't be: slow, noisy, unreliable and uncomfortable.

The game takes you on a roadtrip throughout Europe where you'll need to do more than just drive the car if you hope to advance in the game. You'll need to pay attention to various components of your vehicle and make the needed repairs with whatever resources you have on hand to keep your Laika running in decent condition. There are various side missions in the game as well, giving you the opportunity to earn cash that you can spend on various parts for your car.

The game has been improved significantly since it was first launched. It now features smoother graphics, various weather and road conditions that you need to adapt to, as well as realistic scenery for all the countries in Europe that you'll be driving through. Even though the developers of Jalopy put a lot of effort in improving their game, there are still a few bugs that may appear from time to time, such as terrain glitches or a black screen when changing video options.
