A fully three-dimensional first person shooter in only 96 kilobytes of memory. This isn't a typographical error, indeed, you just read that there is a 3d FPS which has an executable that runs all of its resources locally, in under a hundred Kb. If that wasn't amazing enough, then you need to see and believe when I say that it's not only able to deliver what I wrote about above, but it's also atmospheric, and plays well at a decent number of frames per second. There are multiple weapons, multiple enemies, interesting level designs, and fantastic texturing that's somehow crammed within the executable. Originally released by company ".theprodukkt," .Kkrieger lives well up to the name that it's derived from, the German word for "Warrior." The action is well paced, the game play is intuitive, and the innovation this game presents is astonishing. If anything, just considering the size alone, the game is worth playing. Consider just for a moment that you can nearly fit thirteen copies of the executable uncompressed on a three and a half inch floppy diskette. For those who don't know what that is, you can fit 131,072 copies of .Kkrieger on one DVD!
