If you want any idea of what sort of game Laser Dolphin is, all you need to do is remember that it’s called Laser Dolphin. With this fun new game, you get exactly what you might expect: silly mindless fun.
If you haven’t figured out what you do in Laser Dolphin, you play as a dolphin with a laser attached to it that’s trying to save the Prime Minister from aliens. That is the actual premise of the game. You shoot things and try to get to the next level. It’s a very simple game and unfortunately that is where its faults lie as well. Laser Dolphin is very crude and almost primitive in its graphics, animation, and style of gameplay. It’s very messy, uneven, and at times, frustrating.
However, all you need to do is remember that you’re playing a game called Laser Dolphin and you’ll be fine. The game is simple brainless fun, and that is a recipe for a great game. It may not be as technically sound as any other recent game you’ve played but the bottom line is that it is fun and addictive and that’s all a game really needs to be great.
