Law & Order Criminal Intent is a game based of course, on the popular TV crime drama. You take control of an investigation and try to solve several different murders.
As a NYC detective you must investigate crime scenes, interview witness, analyze evidence, and ultimately deliver justice for the victims. This game came out of a few years ago, so cutting edge it is not. The graphics are 3D and pretty good for a crime game, probably due to the license being sure to move a few copies. The story and writing are decent. Not as good as the show it is based on but not bad by any means. The music seems to be lifted right from the tv series, so it is exactly what you would expect.
Overall, the game is decent. Diehard fans of the show will like it quite a bit, but anyone looking for a really good crime solving game could do better, but they could also do worse. There is a demo so you can try it out for yourself before you buy.
