There is a lot of action in Serious Sam along with a good bit of gore.

This is a game that isn't for the faint of heart. Almost everywhere you go in the game is an opportunity to shoot someone or use another weapon to injure or kill an opponent. The details are in a 3D design, bringing you into the game in a first-person shooting match against the people you see. This can be difficult to handle if you're not used to this kind of game for the simple fact that there is so much action.

While there are people to kill, there are also quite a few monsters. These are monsters that aren't of the friendly nature. They have hideous faces and make you want to kill them simply because of how they look. You do have to find shelter at times so that you can plan your attack. You have a map to look at to determine where you should hide and where the enemies are coming from on the screen. Try to stay a step ahead in the game as there are few hints. This isn't really a game where you have to complete tasks. It's one where you kill as much as possible. You'll sometimes find that you're inundated by monsters coming at you, so it's best to run as fast as you can to get away. The game does begin a bit on the slow side, but once you start playing, it's all you can do to keep your hands off the controls.
