This isn't your typical chess game as it features quite a bit of animation and a few colorful characters.

The game is almost entirely animated when it comes to moving your pieces on the board, the menus that you use in the game and the background images. There are also a few surprises when it comes to videos that give a few descriptions about the pieces that are used in War Chess. Keep in mind that the overall rules of the game are similar to what you would find with traditional chess. There is a 3D look to the board, which makes it fun to watch as you move the pieces around. There are a few different designs of boards to choose from, such as the classic design and one that looks like it was drawn in the sand on the beach.

You can play in one of 10 different arenas. Start simple until you get used to the game as it has a lot more action and adventure than simply moving a rook or a knight around a board. The rules of the game are stated as clearly as possible. There are even a few hints that are given. However, the hints are given when you start playing the game and tend to get few and far between as you progress and get a little experience. One of the fun things about the game is that you'll play with characters that include elves, fairies and other fantastical creatures.
