What is A pirate quartermaster?
You play a pirate ship’s quartermaster in a single-player management simulation set in a procedurally generated ocean world. You assign crew duties, manage supplies and sickness, and weigh the captain’s wishes against sailors’ rights during turn-based voyages. Battles involve typing cannon orders, with mouse input as an alternative, and fighting hand-to-hand during boarding.
For you if...
- +you enjoy getting to know and training individual crew members
- +you like slow voyages interrupted by bursts of combat
Not for you if...
- −you want unrestricted control as the ship’s captain
- −you prefer simple systems with few responsibilities to juggle
What players say
75% of 51 reviews are positive
Players praise the crew management and interconnected systems. Combat divides opinion, with some enjoying its unusual mechanics and others finding the typing difficult or too central.
