What is Escape the Underground?

In this free, side-scrolling 2D platformer, you guide a sentient pile of sludge out of an underground dump after it discovers photographs of the surface. You climb through 28 levels, using walls to navigate obstacles, and replay stages to improve your completion times.

For you if...

  • +you like demanding platforming that rewards practice and persistence

Not for you if...

  • −you want a relaxed platformer rather than a precision challenge

What players say

88% of 133 reviews are positive

Players praise the level design and checkpoint placement. Their most common complaint is the tight camera view, which they say hides hazards and forces blind jumps.
