What is ASCIILL?
You play a special agent in a 2D, grid-based dungeon crawler set in an alien temple. Following B.O.S.S.’s orders, you collect treasures, fight creatures with grenades and TNT, and disable the temple’s security. Numbers indicate how many traps surround each cell, helping you choose routes through nonlinear levels with randomized traps and treasures.
For you if...
- +you enjoy Minesweeper logic mixed with arcade action
- +you want daily challenges beyond the main story
Not for you if...
- −you want deduction puzzles without combat or moving enemies
What players say
92% of 63 reviews are positive
Players praise the ASCII visuals and music. Some find the puzzles too easy or say the added mechanics do little to distinguish it from Minesweeper. A recent reviewer reports daily challenge layouts that require guessing or cannot be completed.
