What is Vertical Kingdom?
You rebuild a war-damaged empire in this turn-based, card-based city builder. Randomized expeditions take you to new regions, where you place homes and workshops while managing food, water, and construction materials. Building placements are permanent, so you must plan around terrain and leave room for expansion.
For you if...
- +you enjoy relaxed strategy without constant time pressure
- +you like balancing citizen needs against a growing economy
Not for you if...
- −you expect a detailed simulation of a working city
- −you dislike roguelite progression and chance-based building options
What players say
74% of 115 reviews are positive
Players praise the pixel art and straightforward building mechanics. Recurring complaints center on repetition, with similar map openings and little mechanical change as the game progresses.
