What is Mark of the Deep?
This single-player action-adventure follows Marcus “Rookie” Ramsey as he searches a cursed island for his missing crew. You fight monsters and bosses, collect weapons and trinkets, and gain abilities to reach new areas. You also help stranded characters through quests and make choices that lead to different endings.
For you if...
- +you enjoy exploring areas and hunting for optional collectibles
Not for you if...
- −you prefer linear routes with little reason to backtrack
- −you want relaxed combat rather than demanding enemy encounters
What players say
74% of 242 reviews are positive
Some players praise the combat and exploration, while others find fights repetitive or tedious. Common complaints concern unhelpful maps and vague quest directions. Recent reviews repeatedly report an input bug that makes the attack button trigger a roll instead.
