What is Knights of the Road?

You play outlaw Fred in a side-view action platformer set in Rockwall, a kingdom falling under dark magic. Your fairy companion becomes a shield for throwing at enemies, deflecting shots, sliding down slopes, and bouncing off enemies or projectiles as you cross each level. You collect gold to buy armor and pay for revival at safe points.
