What is Horizon Forbidden West™ Complete Edition?

A third-person, single-player action RPG set in a far-future, post-apocalyptic open world. As Aloy, you explore new regions, fight machines, meet rival factions, and investigate storms and a blight threatening humanity; the Complete Edition also includes the Burning Shores story expansion, set after the main game.

For you if...

  • +you enjoy exploring large open worlds and hunting machines
  • +you like ranged combat built around targeting machine parts
  • +you want a story-focused single-player science-fiction adventure

Not for you if...

  • −you dislike long quest lists and repeated upgrade gathering
  • −you prefer simple weapon systems with few ammo types

What players say

87% of 21,388 reviews are positive · 87% of 226 in the last 30 days

Players praise the environments, machine designs, and ranged combat, especially targeting individual machine parts. The most common complaints are repetitive side tasks, grind-heavy upgrades, an overcomplicated weapon and ammunition system, and a story some consider weaker than the first game.
