What is The Pulse of Evil?
This free, single-player top-down survival horror game takes place in a forgotten mine, where your mission is to destroy infected organic matter. You start empty-handed, collect tools and weapons, manage supplies, and fight strange creatures as you descend toward a boss fight.
For you if...
- +you like dark horror settings and retro pixel art
Not for you if...
- −you want a long campaign rather than a brief game
What players say
96% of 231 reviews are positive
Players praise the combat and the way replacement squad members continue after a death. The inventory draws mixed reactions: some value the weapon-carrying decisions it creates, while others find item handling finicky and frustrating.
