What is Xenowars?

A single-player, turn-based strategy RPG set on an alien planet. You assemble an exploration team, build a base, recruit tactical units, explore alien civilizations, fight creatures and silicon-based bosses on a hex grid, and collect genes to modify monsters. The story follows national expeditions competing for resources and leads to different endings.
