What is Professional Ship Simulator?
A single-player maritime simulator in Early Access, set around Rügen and the Strait of Dover. You pilot vessels ranging from tugboats to tankers, manage propulsion, and handle mooring and towing. Tutorials introduce ship operation, while missions let you earn credits, expand your fleet, and gain licenses as you progress from harbor operator to captain.
For you if...
- +you enjoy taking time to learn a technical simulation
Not for you if...
- −you prefer arcade-style handling over detailed ship operation
What players say
68% of 330 reviews are positive · 75% of 60 in the last 30 days
Players praise the ship handling and movement in storms, though recent reviews still describe the game as rough and unfinished. Launch-period complaints focus on bugs that prevent tutorial progress and dated-looking graphics.

Does Professional Ship Simulator use AI-generated content?
Yes. The developers disclose AI-generated content on the game's Steam page:
Since we’re a very small team, we use generative AI for a small part of the development process, for example, to create graphical placeholders like icons or background images, or to localize newly added text. The vast majority of the game was localized by humans; only new text is machine-translated in order to include as many players as possible. The voice in the game is text-to-speech, not AI.
The statement mentions: ArtVoicesText & translations
Self-reported by the developer under Steam rules: it covers AI content that ships in the game, not tools used to make it. Steam page checked on Oct 27, 2026. How to filter AI games on Steam
