What is Factorio?

Factorio is a sandbox factory-building strategy and simulation game set on a planet whose inhabitants resist your industrial expansion. You mine resources, craft machines and belts, research technology, automate production chains, expand infrastructure, and defend the factory from enemies. Its core is a freeplay scenario, with additional scenarios, cooperative multiplayer, mods, and a map editor.
