What is Starr Mazer: DSP?

A single-player, side-scrolling shoot 'em up set during a war on Thersa-CPIX. Before each run, you choose pilots with different ships, weapons, and stats, then fight waves of enemies and bosses. Carbomite pickups strengthen your primary weapon or fuel a super weapon, while your score pays for a new squadron.
