What is Shock Tactics?
In this single-player sci-fi strategy RPG, you lead pioneers on a newly discovered planet as an invasion approaches. You explore a procedurally generated world map, establish outposts and dig sites, and command soldiers in action-point-based battles against pirates, alien creatures, and rival troops. Recovered artifacts help you upgrade your base, build weapons and armor, and train soldiers.
For you if...
- +you like choosing weapons to counter enemy shields and armor
- +you enjoy exploring a world map between tactical missions
Not for you if...
- −you prefer real-time combat to managing individual soldiers' turns
- −you want missions without pressure from time-sensitive objectives
What players say
40% of 97 reviews are positive
