Does AREAZ use AI-generated content?
Yes. The developers disclose AI-generated content on the game's Steam page:
AREAZ was built before generative AI. Its code, art, sound and animation are my own work as a solo developer, or licensed from third-party creators. AI is now used for three things: Translation: existing community translations are updated and new languages added with AI assistance. Players told me they would rather have a machine translation than none. Interface icons: newer menu icons are created with AI assistance. Programming: AI tools help modernize the game's code from original BP to C++
The statement mentions: ArtText & translationsCode
Self-reported by the developer under Steam rules: it covers AI content that ships in the game, not tools used to make it. Steam page checked on Oct 27, 2026. How to filter AI games on Steam
