SCS Software has developed the latest Euro Truck game, entitled Euro Truck Simulator 2: Going East. This edition of the popular game provides players with 13 more cities to explore throughout Eastern Europe. Four brand new countries are represented: Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic. These are in addition to the already existing Euro Truck cities found in the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK and Italy. In total, there are 70 different environments to truck through. The game includes many notable signature buildings, monuments and structures that actually exist outside of the game in our real world.

The game is quite light hearted but also provides a serious side for those who treat it as an actual simulation. Players drive trucks across Europe and build a trucking business. Most of the game involves actual truck driving and gamers are able to turn on real internet radio stations as they drive. This is an endearing feature that makes the gameplay quite interesting. The tucker avatars look hilariously cartoonish.

Yet the game's physics and controls are firmly entrenched in reality. It really does feel like you are operating a big rig when you play Euro Trucker Simulator 2: Go East. And that's what makes the game so redeeming. You control more than just the direction of the truck. There's adjustable trailer hitches, head lights, the radio, windshield wipers and more.

Once you become good enough, you'll be able to buy your own truck and customize it as you wish. Eventually you can purchase a fleet of trucks and hire fellow drivers to operate them. It metamorphosizes into a business management simulator over time. This gameplay twist is pleasantly surprising and very addicting. Euro Truck Simulator 2: Going East is highly recommended and worthy of an 8.5 on a scale of 1-10.
