What is Portobugia?
Set in Eastern Europe after the First World War, this single-player management game puts you in charge of a port that keeps a city supplied. You compare ships against their reports, accept or refuse shipments, construct buildings, hire workers, and research technology. Scenarios set different goals, such as building a battleship or producing wine.
For you if...
- +you enjoy balancing city supplies, port growth, and worker wages
- +you prefer relatively simple management games with varied scenario objectives
Not for you if...
- −you dislike close visual searches as a recurring task
- −you want city building without the pressure of keeping citizens alive
What players say
80% of 88 reviews are positive
Players praise how ship inspections and port management fit together, along with the approachable mechanics. Complaints center on unclear tutorials, repetitive inspections, and reliance on chance that can leave the city short of essential supplies.
