What is X: Beyond the Frontier?

In this single-player space simulation, you play as Kyle Brennan, stranded by a malfunctioning experimental ship. You fly among alien-inhabited sectors linked by jumpgates to trade goods, upgrade your ship, build stations, fight pirates and Xenon, and seek a way home.

For you if...

  • +you enjoy slow-paced space trading and building stations
  • +you like ship combat alongside trading and economic planning
  • +you prefer single-player sandboxes with room to explore

Not for you if...

  • you want fast-paced action with little time spent trading
  • you prefer linear missions to open-ended economic progress

What players say
