What is To the Core?
This free, single-player demo combines third-person action platforming with a roguelite structure. You run, jump, dash, and fight through procedurally generated levels in a world built by discarded inventions, trying to rescue your father and improve your completion times.
For you if...
- +you enjoy mastering movement through repeated attempts
- +you like competing on leaderboards and shared weekly challenges
Not for you if...
- −you prefer handcrafted levels to randomly generated runs
- −you want a slower game without a speedrunning focus
What players say
67% of 274 reviews are positive
Players praise the visual design, though opinions on jumping are mixed. Slippery movement and imprecise controls are recurring complaints; a recent reviewer also reports input lag and unresponsive menu buttons.
