What is ChessCraft?

This strategy sandbox lets you design boards up to 16 by 16 squares, set movement and promotion rules, and add pieces with ranged attacks. You can play friends online or tackle 80 built-in boards in adventure mode to earn loot.

Yes: PvP online and split-screen. It also has a single-player mode. Crossplay with other platforms is declared. With Remote Play Together, one copy is enough to play the local modes online with friends.
